After 2 years in quarantine due to the long pandemic, the SPCP Pep Rally event finally made its return on November 7, 2022. Screams of excitement filled the SPACE as the program was truly a sight for sore eyes.

St. Paul College Pasig starts off the Spirit Week with a bang, with the lively performances of the Center for Sports (CFS) varsity members.

“Novius Inicio: Conquering Challenges, Soaring Success” — November 7, 2022 marks the return of SPCP’s annual events like the Pep Rally, after two long years of online learning.

The program started with the introduction of our emcees: Ms. Mary Grace C. Esmaya and her partner, Ms. Honey Angele V. Jose. The air seemed to buzz with excitement as the emcees officially began the program with the entrance of all the CFS Varsity Teams:

  • Arnis
  • Karate
  • Fencing
  • Football
  • Lawn Tennis
  • Chess
  • Table Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Debate
  • Taekwondo
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Track and Field
  • Softball
  • Swimming
  • Gymnastics
  • Terpsichore Jazz
  • Chorale
  • Terpsichore Street
  • Cheerleading

All 20 varsities were unique in their own way, with the teams showcasing their talents in each respective field. Pep Rally 2022 was a highly-anticipated event for the students in pre-pandemic, and it is seen in the excitement of the crowd and the performers, that they had all missed it greatly over the years.

Each performance expressed the unique quirks of their respective sports, while accommodating to the lively atmosphere in the SPACE wherein they took the audience by a storm. Each movement showcased that, the discipline and passion the varsity teams held for their sport and the Paulinian community, never died despite the years spent in quarantine.

Two hours into the program, the event was finally coming to an end after the performance of the Cheerleaders. When all was said and done, the varsity members gathered to the center of the SPACE. There, they recited their pledge which they will honor and abide by, for as long as they are members of the SPCP Varsity Team.

The SPCP community continues to place their hopes on the shoulders of these young athletes. May they shine bright and continue to strive for excellence in the future as well!
